In today’s news, World Food Programme in South Sudan receives contribution from Japan, manatees experience food insecurity along Florida coast, consumers in Ireland are making healthier food choices, ancient trees are being protected in Cambodia, child makes potholders to raise money for charities in United States, vegan pizzeria in the United Kingdom delights customers with new restaurant, and big dog retrieves a small dog from swimming pool in South Africa.

Japan helps to relieve food shortages in South Sudan.

The government of Japan has donated US$6.5 million to benefit 115,000 vulnerable individuals through the United Nations World Food Programme. Excessive flooding and ongoing conflict in four administrative subdivisions have caused the loss of homes, farm animals, infrastructure and livelihoods. US$4.5 million is being allocated for emergency nutritional assistance while US$2 million will be used to restore employment opportunities and enhance resilience through the creation of community assets. Roads will be constructed that provide access to local markets, and water points will be established where people can draw clean water for drinking and household needs. Japan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate. Our heartfelt gratefulness, Japan and the World Food Programme! We pray that your expressions of support will bolster the well-being of the South Sudanese and give them confidence in a brighter future, with blessings of the Providence.

Climate change and food scarcity endanger manatees.

The aquatic mammals also known as sea cows have lost more than 400 of their kind in Florida, USA, since the beginning of 2021. When arctic weather arrived in February and water temperatures fell below 20 degrees Celsius, many manatees could not move to warmer areas fast enough and succumbed to the cold. More worrisome are the pollution and algal blooms along the coast that have destroyed entire meadows of seagrass – the primary food of the species. Elizabeth Fleming, who is the senior representative for the conservation organization Defenders of Wildlife, said they are seeing malnutrition and starvation among manatees like never before. We are saddened by the loss of precious animal lives and praise the work Defenders of Wildlife is doing. May we humans become better stewards of the planet and its inhabitants, in the same way that Heaven takes care of us.

Up next, consumers in Ireland are making healthier food choices. We’ll take a moment to thank the medical librarians who use traditional print sources and digital databases to provide health and scientific information to medical practitioners, students, researchers and patients. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more healthy news.

Hi there, selfless friends! I’m Beckham the vegan Numbat. Are you looking for a cost-effective diet that’s likely to lower your blood pressure and body mass index? Then your search has ended – vegan is the way to go! Here is a little kitchen tip for you. If you’re following a recipe that calls for softened vegan butter, it can be tricky getting it to the right consistency without completely melting it. To avoid this to happen, place the amount of vegan butter that you need on a plate. Warm up a glass by filling it with hot water. After a minute or two, empty the glass and place it over the vegan butter. The heat generated from inside the glass will soften the vegan butter, making it easy to cut and spread. Thank you for tuning in, and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

Irish wholesaler reports increased sales of fruit and vegetables.

BWG Foods UC has released sales data for the first three months of 2021 showing that consumers bought more fresh produce compared to the same period last year. Vegetables in general were up 18%, but carrots recorded a 26% increase while people bought more than twice as much asparagus. Overall fruit purchases grew 6% with bananas maintaining their lead in popularity. However, strawberries improved 25%, and easy-peelers such as mandarins surged 65%. The report also noted an uptick in home baking products and sales of chocolates and other sweets – buys most likely related to the extended Level 5 pandemic restrictions. We celebrate your transition to healthier food choices, Ireland! In Heaven’s uplifting grace, may you soon see the wisdom in going completely plant-based, for a healthier and happier world.

Centuries-old trees receive government protection.

Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary comprises of almost 3,000 square kilometers in eastern Cambodia. The reserve is significant nationally and globally for the extensive biodiversity it contains, including a stand of ancient trees. Since the discovery of the gentle giants in 2000, Ministry of Environment officials and rangers have endeavored to protect them as well as the endemic wildlife. The area is not open to the public, but satellite images have documented a 32% loss of primary forest between 2002 and 2020 with deforestation incursions now happening more frequently. Daily patrols and the utmost vigilance are needed to ensure the safety of flora and fauna. Our sincere appreciation, Keo Seima Wildlife Sanctuary personnel and the Ministry of Environment, for your dedicated efforts. We pray that irreplaceable trees will be preserved and people will understand the importance of keeping the ecosystem intact, in Heavenly peace.

Little girl raises money to help others.

Kendall Manuel of New York, USA, stayed home from school after her father tested positive for COVID-19. Her teacher delivered some multicolored cotton loops so she could finish making a potholder she had started in class. The second-grader enjoyed doing it so much she made several more. She even thought of selling them to raise money for charities, so her mother announced the project on social media. Kendall requested that the proceeds be donated to Golisano Children’s Hospital, The Home Stretch Dog Haven and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The kindhearted youngster has produced more than 150 hot pads, surpassed US$1,700 in sales, and writes a thank you note to each customer. Our delighted applause, Kendall Manuel, for making a difference in your hometown and beyond. Your selfless love is a blessing from Heaven and an inspiration to us all.

Coming up, vegan pizzeria in the United Kingdom delights customers with a new restaurant. We will take a moment to feel grateful for having siblings who made our childhood worth remembering and give us good advice because they know us so well. More gladdening news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television.

Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Splendid News for a Bountiful World.

Award-winning vegan pizzeria expands into Manchester, England.

Purezza is opening its sixth location in the United Kingdom. Founded in 2015, it was the first of its kind in the UK and has spent years evolving its plant-based mozzarella that melts and tastes like the original dairy version. In addition to designing its pizza after a classic recipe from Naples, Italy, most of the ingredients are organic and locally sourced. The owners’ planet-saving mindset is evident in the decor of the restaurants as well. The spaces are decorated using organic paint and outfitted with upcycled furniture. The brand was named National Pizza of the Year in 2018 and won a leading award at the 2019 World Pizza Championship. Way to go, Purezza! We wish you continued success with your visionary business and offer our gratitude for helping us reach World Vegan, in God’s loving embrace.

One canine rescues another from accident in backyard.

In Boksburg, South Africa, a 7-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier knew what to do when she discovered that her roommate, a 13-year-old toy Pomeranian, had fallen into the swimming pool. It took half an hour, but Jessie, the bigger dog, eventually grabbed Chucky’s scruff with her mouth and pulled him out of the water. Their human caregivers could not understand why the pooches were wet until they reviewed security camera footage. The husband and wife intend to have a pool cover installed to prevent a similar accident from happening in the future. Three cheers for Jessie, our hero! Your life-saving actions bring tears of joy to our eyes. In Celestial oneness, may we always be proactive in safeguarding our family members, fellow citizens and planetary co-inhabitants. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Cheerfully present persevering Jessie the Shining World Hero Award plus US$2,000 for vegan snacks to share with your buddy, with lots of love and big hugs! May you, Chucky and family be always protected by Heaven.”

Next, let’s brighten up your day with a joke entitled “The Doctor’s Advice.”

Mrs. Nichols felt some pain in her chest, so she decided to visit an Urgent Care clinic. She introduced herself to the receptionist and described her symptoms. Shortly, Mrs. Nichols was invited into the examination room where a doctor asked her many questions and listened to her heart. Finally, the doctor said: “I don’t think there’s anything seriously wrong, but you should try to avoid any unnecessary stress.” Mrs. Nichols thanked the doctor and left the room. On her way out, the receptionist said: “Excuse me, ma’am, I’m going to need your address for mailing the bill.”

“Oh, that would be contrary to the good doctor’s advice. He told me to avoid any unnecessary stress.”

And now we have a heartline from Min-Min in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Dear Master, I work in a government office. Every day, I deal with people who have been disabled by illness or accidents and therefore applying for government subsidies. Sometimes people tell me their stories of illness or accidents. I feel pity and helpless, but also deeply fortunate that I have Master’s Love. I do not know how to comfort them and can only silently recite the Five Holy Names to share the Blessings with them, because Master said that we should recite the Five Holy Names all the time to protect ourselves and benefit all sentient beings. Once I was on a phone call and was reciting the Five Holy Names silently. All of a sudden, the lady said, “Ma'am, I don't know why, but when I am speaking with you, I feel a current of energy pouring down from my head to my feet.” She sounded like she was enjoying that energy. I didn't know what to say, but I was amazed at the power of the Five Holy Names. Thank You, Master, for Your Blessings. I hope I can be more loving and be a good instrument to bring Master's Love to the people. Min-Min from Taiwan (Formosa)

Compassionate Min-Min, We wish you well in your work that aids others, and thank you for sharing your story.

Here is some food for your soul from Master: “Sympathetic Min-Min, I am so delighted that you remember to recite the Five Holy Names and invoke the power that is available to help us on our earthly mission to serve others 24/7. It is wonderful that your noble occupation assists others in need, and I send a warm embrace with my Love and best wishes for your spiritual progress. Keep up the good work! May Heavens bless your worthy endeavors and those of your gracious Taiwanese (Formosan) co-citizens.”
