In today’s news, Mongolia receives pandemic support from Germany, report shows dramatic global greenhouse gas emissions decline, energy-efficient greenhouses to grow vegetables in United Kingdom, Congolese music group raises recycling awareness, United States animal rights advocacy organization provides vegan food to vulnerable communities, Canadian vegan cheese company brings its products to the US, and animal shelter saves homeless cats and dogs in Morocco.

Germany assists Mongolia in dealing with COVID-19.

The government of Germany, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and a Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate, has provided a €1 million grant to Mongolia to purchase medicine, protective equipment, and medical devices for the Central Military Hospital, one of the principal hospitals in the country treating COVID-19 cases. These funds were provided by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Defense program called “Strengthening partner countries in the area of security, defense and stabilization.” Furthermore, 20 portable respirators will also be provided to Mongolian peacekeepers and defense personnel for medical services and emergencies. Our gratitude, Germany, for your kind assistance that bolsters Mongolia’s healthcare system’s capacity to cope with the COVID-19 virus. May the valiant Mongolian citizens be safe and healthy under the loving care of the Buddha.

Greenhouse gas discharges show historic decline.

In a recent study published in the international scientific journal PLOS ONE, a global team of researchers found that worldwide greenhouse gas emissions had decreased by 2.5 gigatons during the early months of the COVID-19 lockdown. The 4.6% decline in releases was the largest drop ever recorded in human history – dating back to before the Industrial Revolution. Emissions of nitrous oxide and sulfur dioxide resulting from fossil fuel consumption also fell by 5.1 megatons, a reduction of 2.9%. Of the study’s highlights, the authors emphasized the importance of sustaining such improvements to halt climate change. Additionally, they noted that the lessening of air pollutants like PM 2.5 had saved a significant number of lives. Thank you, all involved scientists for this timely research. This eye-opening work reminds us of the importance of rebuilding the global economy sustainably and compassionately, in God’s grace.

Up next, energy-efficient greenhouses to grow vegetables in United Kingdom. Let’s take a moment to thank the cement masons, who place and finish the concrete for our patios and sidewalks, plus larger areas like highways and airport runways. We’ll return with more worthwhile news after these messages, here on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo virtuous viewers, it’s Bhagyaraj the vegan Blackbuck! I am empowered with speed, strength, and endurance. I credit my prowess to my plant-based eating. Be vegan, like me, and you’ll have amazing abilities, too! During meals, a dog may have to bend their neck down to reach the food and water bowls, thus causing discomfort. One solution is purchasing a pair of raised dog bowls, typically US$20-40, at a companion animal store. A low-cost alternative is making your own with two inexpensive, 1.5 – 2 liter (1/2 gallon) plastic buckets, which can be found at any discount store. Flip each bucket upside down and then use a jigsaw to a cut hole at the bottom matching the bowl’s diameter, not including the lip. Once completed, the buckets will each have an opening where you can place a bowl – one for water and the other for their vegan food. Now, your furry friend can enjoy their meals and stay hydrated with ease! Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! And thank you for your attention. Here’s the weather around our beautiful globe.

Britain to host world’s first wastewater-heated greenhouses.

United Kingdom’s Low Carbon Farming, a company dedicated to decarbonizing food production, will construct two greenhouses that will be heated using excess heat generated from nearby wastewater facilities. To be located in East Anglia, England, they will be the first of their kind in the world, with a closed-loop system that extracts heat from wastewater and then transfers it to the greenhouses for use. This project will increase the amount of tomatoes grown in Britain by 12%. Furthermore, the produce grown will be supplied to retailers in the nation, including leading UK supermarket chain Sainsbury’s. Way to go, Low Carbon Farming, for your earth-friendly greenhouses that will help move the United Kingdom towards carbon neutrality. In Divine jubilation, may more such facilities be opened soon, as we conserve and reuse everything possible to ensure a sustainable planet for all.

Congolese band finds musical inspiration in recycling.

Fulu Miziki, based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s capital of Kinshasa, creates its own instruments, masks, and performance costumes from discarded items, such as scrap metal, plastic bottles, tins, and more. Its name means “music from the garbage” in the local Lingala language, and its unique sound seeks to deliver a strong message of eco-consciousness to their city, Africa and our world. Founded by Pisko Crane, Fulu Miziki envisions a future in which humans and Mother Earth live in harmony. With ever-evolving instruments, the band’s soul-stirring music is innovative and vibrant. In 2019, Fulu Miziki performed at the Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda, an international music festival promoting pan-African music and will participate again this year. Bravo, Fulu Miziki! May your incredible music and eco-dedication continue to move hearts and minds in the blessed continent of Africa and beyond, in Heaven’s upliftment.

Vegan non-profit distributes plant-based meals to food insecure communities.

United States animal advocacy group Vegan Outreach has supplied 30,000 vegan meals and groceries to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in several US states and Mexico. Funded by an anonymous donor, its Vegan Food Aid program gives plant-strong food to various US nonprofit organizations, the Navajo Nation, farmworker communities, as well as to underprivileged populations in Monterrey, Mexico. Recently, one of their partners – League of United Latin American Citizens – launched a Boycott Meat awareness campaign. The Vegan Food Aid Program will continue throughout 2020 and perhaps longer. Fantastic work, Vegan Outreach, kind donor, and all involved in Vegan Food Aid. May your noble project bring nutritious and delicious food to many people as they join the joyous, global transition to the win-win vegan lifestyle, in the Providence’s tender embrace.

Coming up, Canadian vegan cheese company to scale up distribution. We’ll pause now to be grateful for the happiness of a quiet mind through living simply. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more splendid news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Friendly News for a Connecting World.

Canadian gourmet vegan cheese company offering products in United States.

Founded in 2015 by Margaret Coons, the firm produces a range of vegan cheeses and butter made from organic cashew milk fermented with vegan cultures, as well as vegetables and spices. Last year, the enterprise sold around 250,000 units of cheese, and by the end of this year expects to significantly increase its sales to 100,000 units monthly. Such joyous news, Margaret Coons and Nuts For Cheese, on the rapid expansion in the availability of your compassionate plant-based cheese and butter products. May your move into the United States proceed smoothly as your delectable offerings save the lives of countless saintly cows, in infinite Divine light.

Animal shelter saves homeless cats and dogs in Morocco.

Since 2016, La Tribu des Quat’pattes has rescued over 400 felines and canines in Rabat, Morocco’s capital city, and other municipalities, including Nador, Fes, and El Jadida. The shelter helps animals find forever homes, with approximately 240 rescued friends currently under its care. It also organizes events and workshops to spread awareness of the need for animal protection and the vulnerability of animals without homes. Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, the group stepped up and helped homeless cats and dogs left starving, despite facing challenges including movement restrictions and fewer donations. Speaking of the lockdown, founding member and communications specialist Julia Nastase said, “It has been difficult for the organization, but we still managed to take care of the animals.” Our heartfelt appreciation, La Tribu des Quat’pattes. May we be good stewards and protectors of all precious sentient beings, in Allah’s abiding care.

Now, time to tone the muscles of your face with a good laugh. Here’s the joke of the day entitled “A Friend’s Concern.”

James is concerned about his buddy’s well-being, so he told him: “Hey man, are you OK? I think you might need a vacation soon...”

“No! I feel good. Why would you say that?”

“It is quite obvious! Your face is starting to look like the one in your passport photo.”

?!
