In today’s news, United Kingdom assists Honduras in the wake of hurricanes, unknown new phenomenon discovered in space, rare plant reappears in the UK after over a century of absence, key personality trait to create a happy family is identified, group representing millions of nurses in Europe wins prestigious award, vegan meats jump in popularity in the United States, and the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism implements electric transportation to spare animals.

The Royal Navy of the United Kingdom provides vital relief assistance following the devastating effects of Hurricane Eta and Hurricane Iota.

Severe landslides and flooding from two catastrophic storms have affected an estimated 4.2 million people in Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala. The UK Royal Navy deployed the support ship RFA Argus to the northeast coast of Honduras to be used as a landing pad for the United States Army helicopters conducting aid missions. The Royal Navy helicopters also participated in reconnaissance flights to gather information for further relief efforts, while the crew assembled special aid packages from their supplies, including emergency shelters, food, water and important hygiene items. Our accolades and gratitude, Royal Navy and United States military. In God’s mercy, we pray for all beings affected by these hurricanes to have a safe and swift recovery during this challenging time.

Astronomers discover unexplained ghost-like circles in space.

Researchers, looking at data gathered by the Australian Square Kilometer Array Pathfinder telescope, recently detected ghost-like spots in space, dubbed ORCs, or “odd radio circles.” The ORCs are so mysterious, that scientists do not know how big, or even how far away they are, and these objects are unlike anything that has ever been seen before. The discovery was part of the Evolutionary Map of the Universe project, which uses advanced technology to chart the southern sky in extremely high detail. Although it was hoped that such a project would reveal previously unknown phenomena, the researchers did not expect to find them so quickly. Fascinating news, astronomers, regarding this discovery. May further strides be made to better understand the cosmos around us, as we also acknowledge and cherish the universe within.

Up next, rare plant reappears in the UK after over a century of absence. We’ll take a moment to thank the sound engineers, who expertly fine-tune the acoustics of the visual and audio productions that we enjoy. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more cheerful news.

Hi, kind viewers, it’s Holly the vegan Rock Hyrax! I look fabulous because I’m vegan. Here’s a cleaning tip for today: You can easily make your own economical and eco-friendly carpet stain remover with just two simple ingredients: water and hydrogen peroxide. Just fill a small spray bottle with 1/3 hydrogen peroxide, and 2/3 water. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the bottle to make it smell absolutely wonderful. Please shake well before using, and remember, hydrogen peroxide can cause bleaching or discoloration, so if your carpet is dark, you may need to dilute the solution and test it on a small area first. Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, weather from around the world.

A rare plant is seen for the first time in over a century.

The grass-poly, scientifically known as Lythrum hyssopifolia, is a low-growing plant with vibrant pinkish-purple flowers, and had its last recorded sighting in Norfolk, United Kingdom over 100 years ago. Dr. Carl Sayer, a professor at University College London in the UK, recently discovered the plant on the banks of a pond he was surveying in Norfolk. The seeds had been buried in the mud, where the lack of oxygen and light provided a perfect environment for their preservation. They were resurfaced during recent restoration work at the pond, and soon sprouted back to life. The discovery shows that conservation efforts could also lead to the revival of other plant species believed to be extinct. Such a joyful finding, Dr. Carl Sayer! We pray for future success in restoring such unique flora on our sacred earth, in God’s magnanimous care.

Research determines key personality attribute for a happy family.

A study by psychologists Dr. Ronald Rogge and Jennifer Daks from the University of Rochester in the United States, determined a trait known as psychological flexibility as a key characteristic that helps to make a happy family or close relationship. Using data collected from over 43,900 people, the study also noted that one of the personal skills required to practice psychological flexibility included being open to and accepting of experiences, whether they are perceived as positive or not. Among the many other beneficial qualities identified were remembering one’s deeper values and working toward one’s goals even amidst distractions and setbacks. Thank you, Dr. Ronald Rogge and Jennifer Daks, for your important findings. May we always seek the awareness and skills to create a satisfying and loving life for all, in Heavenly wisdom.

Group representing nurses in Europe wins prestigious award.

The European Federation of Nurses Associations (EFN), which represents 2.5 million female nurses across Europe, was honored with the 2020 Women of Europe Awards, in the “Woman in Action” category. Jointly organized by the European Movement International and the European Women’s Lobby, the award recognized the nurses’ life-saving service to patients amid the difficult circumstances of the COVID-19 crisis. In doing so, the vital caregivers are risking their own lives and those of their loved ones. Delighted by the much deserved recognition, President of EFN Elizabeth Adams said, “They have been beyond heroic and selfless … with their compassion, care and expertise, nurses have restored our faith in humanity.” Our warmest felicitations, European Federation of Nurses Associations. May the Divine bless all dedicated medical staff worldwide as we continue to pray for your strength and protection.

Egypt cares for animals by switching to electric transportation at famous tourist site.

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism has announced a ban on camel, horse and donkey riding around the Giza complex and archaeological sites. Visitors to the renowned pyramids will now be transported by electric cars and vehicles. The change comes after almost 500,000 people appealed to the Ministry of Tourism, following a year-long initiative by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) that exposed the mistreatment of the animals being used for transportation at these sites. The use of electric vehicles will spare them unbearable conditions, such as working in the extreme heat without water, and is also part of the current eco-friendly trend in the country’s transportation sector. Egypt is a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace laureate. Our grateful applause, Egypt! May Allah bless you. Thanks to your considerateness to our fellow beings, visits to your majestic sites will be even more enjoyable than ever.

Let us brighten up your day with a good joke entitled, “Animal Science.”

“Today we will learn more about animal behavior... Can anyone guess, on the basis of what we know so far, why birds hold one of their legs up when sleeping?”

“Because if they hold both of their legs up, they will fall over.”

And now we have a heartline from A-Li in China:

Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master Television team: Greetings! I am a big fan of Supreme Master Television’s “Noteworthy News.” I look forward every day to the positive news presented by the news presenters from around the world. I also love the award programs in which Master acknowledges good people and good deeds. The reports about the rising vegan movement in various countries are delightful too. Supreme Master Television simply transports me to a blissful place! In addition, I also like the video clips giving thanks to the reporters, photographers, camera persons, and other individuals, groups, and companies for contributing to the news. One clip I really like is the one that features the Great Wall of China from my home country. Another favorite of mine is the one featuring a clear blue sky, with a majestic sun towards the right and layers upon layers of mountains in the distance. What a beautiful scenery it is! I also like the background music in “The Weather around the World.” Sometimes I would record the music and play it in a loop while I work or study. It brings me such a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. For more than two years now, I have been watching Supreme Master Television almost daily. I am deeply touched by the profound love imbued in all the programs for our world and all beings. Thank you, the world is a much better place because of Supreme Master Television! I bow in deep gratitude.  A-Li from China
