In today’s news, China aids Senegal’s children most in need, full Northern Ireland hospitals treat COVID-19 patients in parked ambulances, Montreal, Canada unveils climate change plan, ancient whale fossil found in Thailand, homeless man rescues shelter animals from fire in United States, study finds home-cooked vegan meals save money and time, and return of endangered turtle in Australia brings hope.

China, a Shining World Leadership Award for Wise Governance recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Wildlife-Protection and Compassionate Protection laureate, provides funds to Senegal to ensure adequate nutrition for children.

China has donated US$1 million to Senegal to be distributed through the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Supplies, including therapeutic foods and medicine, will be delivered to more than 17,000 severely undernourished children less than five-years-old living in the most seriously affected regions. The aid will help to ease the shortage of food created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Senegal is one of six countries receiving monetary aid through China’s South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund. Our hats off to you, China, for your generous donation, and thank you, UNICEF, for always being there for the most vulnerable all over the world. We pray the treasured young citizens of Senegal will live healthy and happy lives, in Heaven’s care.

Ireland’s northern healthcare system adopts new medical care areas in unprecedented times.

As COVID-19 cases surged, hospitals in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom, have had to treat patients in ambulances parked outside the emergency departments, with the engines running to keep patients warm. As hospitals in the region reached 104% capacity, residents were advised to first phone other medical facilities to check their availability rather than going to Antrim Area Hospital and the nearby Causeway Hospital. Like many other places worldwide, patients have had to wait long hours at hospitals for an emergency bed. Our prayers for the world’s medical facilities, frontline staff, patients and families, who are pushed to extremely challenging situations due to COVID-19. May we do what it takes to see brighter days by quickly transitioning to a pandemic-stopping vegan world, in God’s mercy.

Up next, Montreal, Canada unveils 10-year climate change plan for the city. We’ll pause now to thank the biomedical scientists who carry out many kinds of tests in the laboratory to help doctors diagnose and treat conditions. We will return with more noble news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television.

Lovely viewers, how are you doing? I’m Rizzo the vegan Grizzly Bear Cub. I have a very good nose because I am vegan, and I can smell that you are vegan too. Wow, isn’t that fabulous? Now you are my buddy. Today I would like to share with you several ways you can clean your toothbrush. It’s a good idea to clean it regularly to avoid accumulating bacteria. The first way is to add 2 teaspoons (10 ml) of baking soda to 1 cup (240 ml) of warm water. Let your toothbrush sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes. You can also substitute baking soda with salt. Or, make a disinfecting solution of half apple cider vinegar and half water. Another way is to immerse your toothbrush in extremely hot water of about 80 degrees Celsius for 10-15 minutes, but make sure the water doesn’t surpass 99 degrees, as this could cause the bristles to melt. Happy cleaning! Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Thank you for watching. Now for the weather from around the world.

Montreal, Canada unveils new range of climate goals.

“The Climate Plan 2020-2030,” presented by Montreal’s Mayor, The Honorable Valérie Plante, lists 46 measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55 percent. Some actions to be implemented within the next decade include planting 500,000 trees, establishing zero carbon emission areas, banning non-electric vehicles in the downtown area, and dedicating 10 to 15 percent of the city’s budget to climate change adaptation. The project will also enforce a strict “climate test,” where the potential greenhouse gas emissions of every government decision will be considered. The Montreal City Council is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate. Our appreciation, The Honorable Valérie Plante and Montreal, for taking steps to mitigate climate change. In Heaven’s wisdom, may more cities across the globe make meaningful efforts and most urgently, address the serious climate impact of meat consumption by enacting vegan laws.

Ancient whale skeleton found in Thailand.

Researchers in this Southeast Asian country have discovered more than 80% of a 12-meter-long whale skeleton, estimated to be between 3,000 and 5,000 years old. The partially fossilized bones were discovered 12 kilometers inland from the coast, near Bangkok, and should thus give scientists a better understanding of where sea levels used to be and how they could be in the near future due to climate change. The findings could even shed light on other geological and biological conditions at that time. The giant mammal is believed to be from the Bryde’s whale species, whose members still exist around Thailand today. What a fascinating discovery, researchers. May such findings help us to better understand the past as we wisely plan for the future, in Celestial grace.

American homeless gentleman risks his life saving shelter animals.

While on his way to the W-Underdogs animal shelter in Atlanta, Georgia, where his canine companion Bravo stayed each night, 53-year-young Keith Walker saw that the building was on fire. He then quickly brought out all 10 cats and 6 dogs trapped inside. The hero shared, “I was really scared to go in there with all that smoke. But God put me there to save those animals… My dog is my best friend, and I wouldn’t be here without him, so I knew I had to save all those other dogs.” Mr. Walker was called “my guardian angel” by Gracie Hamlin, who founded W-Underdogs to help disadvantaged youth and families, including by providing veterinary care and food for their canines. Fortunately, the rescued animals were moved to the organization’s new facility. To date, a GoFundMe campaign for Mr. Walker has raised over $88,000, and another for W-Underdogs raised US$6,000, which was double the goal. A standing ovation, Mr. Keith Walker. May God always protect you, your beloved Bravo, and all residents of W-Underdogs. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Hero Award to Mr. Keith Walker, for your brave and loving act, plus US$10,000 for your winter needs or to share as you see fit. May Heaven always watch over you and the ones you care for such as Bravo.”

Coming up, study finds home-cooked vegan meals save money and time. Let’s pause to be grateful for the peace we enjoy on Earth today by Divine grace, as we continue to pray for lasting World Peace. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more friendly news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Joyful News for a Wondrous World.

Plant-based meals cooked at home save money and time.

According to United Kingdom-based market research firm Kantar, home-cooked vegan meals cost 40% less than meals with meat or fish. About eleven thousand people provided weekly online information for the one-year survey ending in August 2020. Commissioned by UK-based, non-profit organization Veganuary, the study showed that vegan meals’ lunches and dinners cost on average just £1.06 per person, which means a saving of 70% per individual for each vegan meal. Furthermore, it takes one third less time for plant-based eaters to prepare their meals than it takes meat-eaters to prepare theirs. Thank you for the cool report, Kantar and Veganuary. May more people adopt the tasty, compassionate and far more economical vegan diet, in Divine support.

Endangered hawksbill turtle returns to same location first seen 30 years ago.

On Rosemary Island off the Pilbara coast of Western Australia, a female hawksbill turtle was seen returning to the same beach for the third time in 30 years. She had been tagged before in 1990, 2011 and again in 2020 as part of the Western Australia Parks and Wildlife Service’s diligent conservation program. According to the agency’s Pilbara Marine Program Officer Suzie Glac, the area has one of the world’s largest nesting populations for this critically endangered species. Also, after recent aerial footage showed large numbers of turtles on surrounding islands, the Western Australia Parks and Wildlife Service called for an expansion to its successful turtle monitoring program. How wonderful that the gorgeous hawksbill turtles are finding peaceful refuge on welcoming beaches. May all our treasured co-inhabitants on land and sea be safe and thrive, in Divine love.

Let our joke of the day bring out gleeful sparkles from your spirit. It’s entitled “If I Were a Millionaire.”

A teacher said to the class:

“Now, all of you take a pencil and paper and write an essay with the title, ‘If I Were a Millionaire.’”

Everyone but Jake, who leaned back with arms folded, began to write feverishly.

“What’s the matter?” the teacher asked. “Why don’t you begin?”

“I’m waiting for my secretary to write what I will dictate to her, because I’m a millionaire.”

And now we have a heartline from Đan Thanh in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Beloved Master and the Supreme Master TV team, I am very grateful to You and the team. May I ask that the Supreme Master TV team collect data to show our audience about the average amount of meat consumed each year by each person in each country. It will show that the higher the average amount of meat consumed per person (in a country), the higher the mortality rate due to Covid-19. It is because of the reduced resistance in the immune system. The scientific reason is: eating meat will produce byproducts such as sulfur, sulfite, nitrite, nitrate... which will acidify the blood and lymphatic system. As we know, the macrophage and T-cells, (T-lymphocytes) of our immune system can only function well in a slightly alkaline environment (pH: 7-7.4). I humbly wish our Supreme Master Television to consider this idea from a pharmacist initiate. Wishing our Supreme Master Television team to be healthy and happy. Wishing our Beloved Master to be always happy and safe in the loving protection of Heavens. Even the most beautiful words cannot express all my thankfulness. Đan Thanh from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Informed Đan Thanh, Thank you for sharing this knowledge with us. It is scientifically proven that meat not only causes harm to our body but also to the environment, while inflicting untold pain on our animal co-inhabitants. It would be a win-win situation if all would switch to compassionate lifestyles. As Supreme Master Ching Hai has said, if we all become vegan, the whole world would change overnight. Truly so, it is evident that with a plant-based lifestyle, some of the deadliest diseases can be cured! We pray for the day soon to come when all adhere to the benevolent teachings of Buddha and treat all beings with kindness. May you and the peace lovers of Âu Lạc (Vietnam) enjoy endless days in Buddha’s magnificent grace, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master said: “Concerned Đan Thanh, thank you for sending your message. Besides bringing unimaginable suffering to our animal friends, meat-eating destroys the health of all who consume it. It leads to serious conditions like cancer, diabetes, and obesity, causes zoonotic diseases like COVID-19 and shortens lives. Pray for World Vegan and tell others to join as well to change our planet’s future. We’ve aired some related shows before. The team will consider your suggestion. Thank you. May Heaven’s infinite Light forever shine on you and the harmonious Aulacese (Vietnamese) people.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

Thank you for your company on Noteworthy News. May your life shine with inner tranquility and compassion.
